Megaloceros was part of the Pleistocene megafauna. Its range extended across all of Eurasia. It is one of the largest known cervids to date: the span of its antlers could reach 3.5 meters, with a height of 2 meters at the withers! The cave paintings found give us a fairly clear idea of the color of this animal: light brown all over its body, with black lines on its back, along its flanks starting from the withers, and a black band under its neck.
